The Interview

A Corporate Clash Fan comic.

Chapter 1: Preperation and Arrival.

It was approaching dusk in all of Toontown and within a vacant building just located in Dreamland where five toons seemingly putting on nice dressshirts with neckties, good pants and fine shoes. As they we're getting dressed, the leader of the group makes a phone call to the location of the Chairman himself: Boardbot HQ.

“Hello?” Robert answers.

“Hello. This is a phonecall from five people who would want to apply for jobs at C.O.G.S. Inc.” The dog replies.

“Who is this? Where are you five?”

There was a period of silence. “Dreamland, Toontown.”

The Chairman became urgent. “I demand who this is now!”

“Top Dog. You’ll meet all five of us at the entrance of your office. I’d recommend you bring your other top executives. Each of us will be looking for work in a specific department.” Top Dog replies.

“Ooookay?” The Chairman replies very confused.

“Just have your boardbots search us before allowing us inside. We’ll ensure that we're not spies and we're actual legit candidates to be allowed.” He says before hanging up abruptly.

Top Dog then looked at his fellow cohorts who we're already prepared who we're all nervous.

Meanwhile inside of Boardbot HQ the top executives just arrived alongside the secretaries who entered Robert’s office who we’re asked to come for an emergency meeting. Ottoman was already there when the phonecall was made to Robert.

“What is going on?” Craig asked as he rolled in.

“I got a phonecall from someone within Toontown. He said it was five people who want jobs here.” Robert answers to Craig.

Ms. Morsecode raised her eyebrow. “Five random toons? This doesn’t sit right with me Robert.”

Chris looked at Morsecode and then at Robert. “Also agreed. This is a disaster waiting to happen Robert.”

“Well perhaps maybe we’ll get some nice new employees who will spill some info on the toons!” Allan says eagerly.

Ms. Morsecode looked at Allan. “Allan. This is not something to celebrate about they might be resistance members coming to sabotage.”

“Yeah Allan this is really serious.” Craig says to Allan.

The Secretaries also looked concerned and unsure about the five new arrivals that were coming.

“Well isn’t this certainly a good idea.” Says Jennifer sarcasitically.

“Weren’t you the one who wanted that snake hired?” Says Judy.

“Hey! I at least had a better canaidate than a toon!” Jennifer responds to Judy getting ready to fight.

“Hey Ladies, Should we at least calm down right now?” Says Jason trying to get them to stop fighting.

“I don’t see how we can remain calm right now Jason!” Says Janet as she came over to him.

And then a wide argument between the bosses erupts which would cause commotion as well as the five secretaries and Robert was getting tired of it.

“QUIET EVERYONE!” And just like that everyone in the room went quiet.

The Chairman then took a deep breath and then orders his employees to get in order.

“Look everyone. I am well aware that those may be toons on the other line I was just talking to. But times are getting desperate. And I may realize that employees may be found in parts of Cog Nation.” Robert explains to his employees who we're looking at each other still unsure if to trust his word.

Ottoman speaks up. “I will say something. I did remember speaking to that toon who was on the phone at some point.” Ottoman says as everyone in the room would look and stare at him.

“He really seemed interested and eagar to actually join the job and said that he was going to make a phonecall to Robert whenever he was ready.”

“Did he say anything about wanting other people to be hired?” Robert Asks Ottoman.

“No. He never said anything about anyone else wanting to be hired nor did say any mention of anyone being with him.”

Robert would look at him with suspicion. “Hmmm. He may have gotten a few friends along the way to join him.”

“Probably. But we don’t know for sure.” Ottoman says.

“Regardless. They will be a great asset to the company with whatever information they can provide us with from the toons that we may not know.” Robert says as he explains to his employees.

“So lets just wait and I’ll order our goons and employees to immediately check them once they arrive to ensure they ain’t spies for the resistance. Got it?”

“Yes Sir.” Says everyone in the room.

They then got situated in their seating areas alongside their secretaries, and everyone in the room waited for the five new sudden arrivals coming into Robert’s office.

After making the phonecall the five well dressed toons would leave the house and were now walking towards the Boardbot HQ. It was all in the cloak of night so it would give them ample time to get into the place without being detected by other toons.

And while on the way they were quite contemplative about their decision: Toons working for the very beings who want to turn their whole island into a corporate wasteland? It feels pretty strange to be making such a decision. All five of them had their own different reasons for wanting to work for C.O.G.S. Inc.

Top Dog was the leader of the five and was a former resistance member who was ousted for having been found out with Suit literature and reading material. He was genuinely curious about the suits and wanting to get into more of their own culture and it wasn’t long before it turned into an obession. He was now very invested in their culture and wanted to become a fine top worker in the boardbots after getting into a conversation with a well known individual that is close to the Chairman.

Rat Racer was another of these toons but in his case it was an odd fascination and interest in the lower ranking bossbots most specifically flunkies and one of them he ended up falling head over heels for one. But just like Top Dog he was caught and ousted from the resistance and ended up joining Top Dog in his pursuit. He mainly seeks to become a fine worker in the Bossbots and find that one Flunky he ended up falling for.

Cold Turkey wasn’t a resistance member but certainly was less than thrilled when his once childhood home was turned into a blizard by Lil Oldman. Along with finding a book on Suit Law and becoming very interest in becoming an attorney. He found a chance with Top Dog, took it and now he is coming along for the ride and for a new life with the Lawbots, although he may not be prepared for such adverse weather that they thrive in.

Alligator Dream was like Top Dog, she was a former loony labs scientist who happened to be exiled from the group. It was discovered she was doing experiments to reverse jellybeans into cogbucks which sparked such heavy drama from the other scientoons who accused her of being a spy. Although she wasn’t a spy she was heavily invested in the Cashbots and their money practices. She wanted to be an accountant rather than a scientist but she would bring whatever inventions she created for the benefit of C.O.G.S.

Secretarist Horse was the runt of the group. She was bullied after it was found out that she had become sympathic to the cogs seeing them get destroyed, driven out or bullied by her fellow toons. Her biggest incident was an encounter with Cathal Bravecog: The VP’s Son. The other toons had found out that she was conversing with him behind their backs and just like Top Dog was bullied out from the toons. She would end up being found by the group and allowed her to joing along with them and are willing to do anything to help her get a job at C.O.G.S.

Secretarist Horse was incredibly nervous as she looked around while walking with them in the streets.

“A-Are you sure t-they aint… gonna… clobber us a-all?” Says Secretarist Horse nervously.

“No they wont. We just need to prove that we can be like them.” Top Dog reassures her.

“How will we do that?” Asked Rat Racer.

“We have to show what skills are needed in the specific depts were gonna be working in.” Alligator Dream responds to Rat Racer.

“Mhm… I hope all that studying of corporate law is gonna pay off..” Says Cold Turkey.

Secretarist Horse was gonna apply for being a sellbot and she has no prior skills of being a salesperson nor does she feel she have any charm. The rest of them we're also worried and nervous too but Top Dog maintains his confidence and assurance that they will get this job.

Along the way some of them felt pretty contemplatative about their decision especially Top Dog. Who despite being confident was really thinking about his decision to leave Toontown and go to the very place that is trying to teraform their former hometown into something else. But he knew that there was no turning back, and that the decision he was making is final.

Upon finding the entrance, Top Dog looked at his friends.

“Are you all ready? Just remember. Theres no turning back.” He says as he looked behind him which was the end of the street of Twilight Terrance.

“Sigh. Ready.” Says Rat Racer.

“More ready than going into a fridge.” Says Cold Turkey.

“Definitely.” Says Alligator Dream.

“M-Mhm…” Says Secretarist Horse.

They would step over the under construction sign and slowly entered the headquarters entrance. Upon entering, they we're greeted by the boardbots and security goons seeing the five well dressed toons holding their own briefcases.

“Identity yourselves!” Ordered the goon as an alarm blared out as the boardbots watched and towered over the well dressed toons.

Most of the group watched nervously but Top Dog keeps his composure as he shows his id calmly to the Goon even though it was a toon id.

“What is this?” A head honcho says as he took the id from Top Dog confused.

“My identification?” Says Top Dog calmly.

“Why are all of you five here for?” A Big Fish asks them while staring down at them along with the Head Honcho.

“We’re all here for the jobs.” Alligator Dream says as he approached her.

The Head Honcho and Big Fish looked at each other confused and both say. “What?”

Rat Racer then chimes in. “We’re the ones who made that phone call to here. We’re all looking for jobs at this company.” The Goon shines its light at them. “Are you really sure?”

“Yes.” Top Dog and his 3 other toons say.

“Y-Yes…?” Secretarist Horse says nervously.

The boardbots still didn’t believe they we're telling the truth but then the Head Honcho orders the goons and a few other boardbots.

“Search them for anything. We must prove you’re not just spies for the resistance and we’ll allow you to go to your interview.”

And so the toons would all stand still as the goons searched them while some boardbots assisted them in their search. They searched them top to bottom, checking their clothing for anything that could be hidden within them, and even their suitcases if they had any devices that could be used for sabotage. After half an hour of searching… They found nothing, which shocked the boardbots and goons.

The Head Honcho still in disbelief looked at the five toons which all stared at him after being searched.

“You are all really here for jobs?” He asked them once again.

“Yes sir.” They all said at once.

He couldn’t really believe it, but after finding nothing on them that proves that they’re spies he slowly reached for his cell phone and dials for Robert.

“Hello Sir.” He says on the phone.

“Yes? Are they all here? Have they been searched for anything yet?” Says Robert on the phone.

The Head Honcho had a brief second before saying: “Yeah… They’re here and we’ve already searched them top to bottom. We’ve found nothing on them that proves that they’re spies.”

Robert then says. “Perfect! Send them all in. We’re waiting for them!”

“Ok. Bye.” The Head Honcho hangs up on the phone and looked at the five toons and says to them. “Ok. You’re all good to go for your interview.”

And thus, the five toons would go over to where the Chairman was. Just before they would enter into his office they all looked at each other.

“Ready?” Top Dog says to the others.

“I’m ready.” Rat Racer looked at Top Dog.

“Ready for anything.” Alligator Dream exclaims.

“Never been more ready for anything in my life.” Cold Turkey looked at Top Dog a bit nervous.

And then all the other four looked at Secretarist Horse, who looked at them and she says. “R-Ready?”

They then all took a deep breath… as they opened the doors to the Chairman’s office. And we're greeted by Robert Cyger, Ottoman his brother, Craig, Ms. Morsecode, Chris and Allan. All top executives in the room and alongside them their secretaries. Jennifer, Jason, Judy, Jewel and Janet.

Robert Cyger was sitting in the middle along with all the other executives alongside his brother and secretary. “You five may sit down in your seats and we’ll begin shortly."

---------------

Chapter 2: The Unorthodox Interview.

The Union pals all took their seats in front of their respective department executive they’ll be working with. Top Dog stared up at Robert and Ottoman who were getting prepared with his paperwork while Jennifer watched Top Dog’s movements from his seat.

Craig was shooting down a glare at Rat Racer alongside Jason who were quite perplexed with the tall mouse who was sitting quite straight up at his chair while Jason was rubbing his glasses getting a nice look at the seeming mighty mouse.

Cold Turkey was nervously fondling with his tie as he watched Ms. Morsecode menancingly glare down at him alongside Judy who was rather perplexed and dumbfounded by the short and chubby bird wanting to apply for a job in their apartment.

Chris Dolair the Chief Financial Officer, quite unimpressed as he stared down at Alligator Dream who seemed to be holding a rather big briefcase alongside Jewel who was curious about what was inside that briefcase.

Secretarist Horse was anxiously staring down looking away from Allan Bravecog who despite being the least threatning of the executives was quite confused that she wasn’t staring at him while Janet made a curious stare at her.

After a couple of minutes Robert would finally speak up.

“Okay. So… Top Dog?”

“Right.”

“Since this is a relatively different interview than the usual one we hold for new employees I am going to ask you similar but different questions to relate to this type of interview for you all.”

Top Dog nods with the others.

“Ok… So starting from the top: What is your names?”

Top Dog stands up first. “Top Dog. Real name is Gordon A. Benard” Robert nodded as Top Dog sat down hearing about his name.

Rat Racer stands up after Top Dog. “Rat Racer. Actual name for me is: Fen S. Rodger.” He sat down after noticing Craig stare down at him for his odd name.

Cold Turkey slowly stood up. “Cold Turkey. I am actually Aidan L. Marly, but I call myself Cold Turkey for dedacted reasons.” He says as Ms. Morsecode glared down at him suspicious of his name choice.

Alligator Dream stands up with grace. “Alligator Dream. I was refered to as Alani B. Dream.” She sat down as Chris watched surprised by her name.

Secretarist Horse very slowly stood up while looking at the floor. “S-Secretarist Horse? I-I am also called... L-Linda S. M-Marylin…” She then sat down without paying mind to Allan who watched her speak her name.

After that Robert moves onto the next question. “Next, Why do have you come here from Toontown and what has motivated you to ask for a specific job that you want from us?”

“Alright.”

Top Dog takes a deep breath before explaining to Robert.

“Starting with me, I was a former resistance member working at the near the top resistance members.”

Robert and the other executives are astonished to hear this work experience.

“Would you like to explain some of these secrets you know with the resistance?” Robert asks.

“I will explain later, but for now I will say the reason why I am here.”

Robert’s eyebrows raised with interest. “Go on.”

“I was kicked out by the resistance when they found a bunch of literature that I had in my possesion. And I was even given a worthy notice from both Lowden and Flippy.” Says Top Dog as he pulled out a piece of paper from his pocket and hands it to Robert.

Robert takes the piece of paper and reads it quietly, with his face looking quite unsurprised and shaking his head. “Such a statement to make like that. Even for a toon.”

“And that wasn’t even the worse part… The person who basically got me sold out was my own best friend…”

Robert was shocked by this as he looked at the other top executives who were all at a loss for words. “Thats… Actually terrible.”

Top Dog nods sadly. “It certainly was. And I was truly devasted by it. I ended up stumbling everywhere but noone wanted anything to do with me at that point… Until I came across BoardBot HQ and snuck in.”

“Ah. My brother told me you met up with him in the headquarters while it was still under construction.” Robert says as he looked at Ottoman.

“Yeah... From there I was able to speak with your brother about my situation and I was able to request for a position to get hired in here… Which is why I came here…”

Robert nodded. “But what about your other friends?”

Rat Racer stood up to speak. “I had a similar situation… I was also forced out of the resistance when I was caught mingling with one of Bossbots just where the club house was… And by that same ape who ousted Top Dog… And Top Dog found me in a similar state he was in and convinced me to join him on this journey to here. So I took it…” He blushed while explaining this while Craig slowly raised an eyebrow.

Alligator Dream also stood up. “Similar situation to Top Dog… I was also outsted from that same guy but from another part of the toon resistance. That group I will mention as soon as my turn to be interviewed comes up. But the main reason I got ousted is all right in here.” She pats her suitcase which got Chris curious about now.

Secretarist Horse also stood up slowly still looking at the floor. “Um… Yeah.. I-I also got called out by… Pimu… He was quite loud and terrifying at me… I was also helped out by Top Dog and he brought me with him to join you all…” Allan and Janet looked at each other kinda feeling bad for the poor horse.

Cold Turkey slowly stood up as he fixed his bowtie. “I wasn’t ousted like the others in here. I mainly got interested in becoming an attorney with you all after obtaining a bunch of books that Top Dog have collected and I happened to find a few on law, especially law. I ended up taking this opportunity to become an attorney at this place.” He says as he noticed Ms. Morsecode still glaring down at him but now with curiousity, which he promptly sits back down.

“So that’s some interesting reasons for why. It seems you most of you all have been dealt a bad hand by the resistance.”

Top Dog nodded. “Of course. But I will say one thing before we move onto the next question.”

“And whats that?”

“I need to remind you that we don’t want just sympathy from you. We want jobs, a place to live in fact, I want to provide you something in return for helping us live here and I understand you don’t like suckups. I wont suck up to you if you don’t do the same to me.”

Robert raises his eyes as he nodded at this. Quite impressed with his reasoning.

“So I ask you right now is to ask the next question for what jobs that will be needed right now.”

“You know what? As a matter of fact…” He says crumbling up the piece of paper he had with a bunch of other questions that was intended for them and throws it behind him.

“I will just ask you what jobs that you want and that we will need from you instead. Would that be fair for you all?”

Top Dog smiles. “Perfect. I am well aware of your company’s dire situation as well as the impending construction of Boardbot Headquarters.”

“Oh? Security isn’t a requirement right now.”

“Well not now. But sooner or later when Boardbot HQ opens up all operations… The Toons will almost certainly be breaking in and you will soon have to deal with what your other 4 executives deal on a daily basis.”

“Ah yes. I am soon making plans to add extra security and even renovate the other headquarters soon.” Robert says as Allan, Chris and Craig stare at him.

“Thats understandable. But just a reminder, you nearly hired Lowden as your C.L.O. It was a miracle that Ms. Morsecode got there in a neck of time.”

Craig and Ms. Morsecode looked at Robert as Top Dog watched.

“He has a good point Robert.” Exclaims Craig.

“We can’t keep track of every single suit that comes in through those elevators. Not even the goons can see through them.” Says Ms. Morsecode indignantly.

“Alright. You think you can check the toons for any who are in disguise?”

“Yes. I can clearly see through them when they’re disguised.

Robert nods.

“Also I can also do check around the other headquarters for any suspicious activity but mainly in here for the sake of helping out the executives and secretaries when they can’t do the security checks for every suit.”

“I will ask you Top Dog. What will you do when you see any resistance members sneaking in?” Asks Jennifer curiously.

Top Dog looked at Jennifer. “Oh simple.” Top Dog says as he stood up.

I will bring them down to make sure that will never be able to resist you all again! I will ensure that any secret they figured out about this place will go untold whenever I get my hands on them! Especially after what they put me through!” Top Dog yells while Jennifer and Robert watch while surprised by his anger.

“I will say… He does seem quite dedicated.” Jennifer says while a bit impressed albeit shocked.

“I think he’s perfect for the job.” Ottoman says nervously.

“Well very well then. Your experience and dedicated is quite needed for a job like guarding the Boardbot HQ whenever it finally opens it doors.” Robert says to Top Dog.

“Very good.” Top Dog smiles as he sat down, fixing his necktie.

Craig looked over at Rat Racer. “So Mr. Rodger?”

“Yes?”

Craig looked over at him as he asks him. “So all I will ask what kind of job are you looking for in this department?”

“I am mainly looking for a lower position and help dealing with the lower ranks within your department.

“Okay. So you mainly to help the lower ladder bossbots in my department?”

“Exactly.

“Yes. I was mainly dealing with smaller scale issues that the resistance was facing with, from dealing with lower ranking managers that you all had deployed in areas you don’t have much of a presence in. And in addition to that I was helping lower ranking resistance members climb up to be better at their jobs.”

Craig nodded while Robert rolls his eyes knowing who Rat Racer was mentioning as the “Lower ranking managers”.

“For this job I feel that helping the other low ranking bossbots here is certainly the kind of job for me and helping them push up towards the corporate ladder.”

“Well thats interesting, but what about the higher bossbots like me?” Craig asks standing up.

“I also want to help out the higher managers, help out the secretary of the department and even attend to the C.E.O. if he needs help. After all I helped out Lowden and Flippy very well when I was in Toontown.”

Jason watched Rat Racer as he was about to ask him a question. “And what about me-”

“And of course your secretary would certainly help out Jason whenever I come by him to deal with anything he throws at me.”

“I personally like this guy.” says Jason who was listening to Rat Racer speak.

Craig and Robert look at each other before Craig slowly turns to Rat Racer. He then brings out his hand to him and Rat Racer shakes it.

“I will give this job my all. Mr. Oilcan.”

“I am sure you will Mr. Rodger…” Craig says while still in doubt.

Robert would look over at Cold Turkey as Ms. Morsecode glared down at him. “So let me get this straight Mr. Marly, you’re looking for a job as an attorney in my department?”

“Oh! Y-Yeah! I am coming in for a job as a corporate attorney at the Lawbot Department.”

Ms. Morsecode towered over Cold Turkey as she asked the question about his lack of experience in the resistance.

“Because you mentioned earlier that you had no experience working with the resistance, so I would be more than interested if you can list out any other experience you had previously that would be helpful for this job.” Ms. Morsecode says as she towered over the turkey.

“W-Well… Other experience I had was working at my own shop d-down at Acorn Acres… I was working with someone who also was named Judy to learn about law from her… I learned a great deal from her and like I said I studied extra hard from those corporate law books I got from Top Dog…” Says Cold Turkey as Judy raised an eyebrow about the toon that shares the same name with her.

“Is that so?” Says Ms. Morsecode as she stared down at the slightly chubby turkey as he stared up at her nervously.

“I-It is… I can tell you all of the knowledge that I know and understand to prove it...!” Says Cold Turkey nervously.

“Prove it then. Prove to me that you have a through understanding of corporate law.” Ms. Morsecode exclaims as she continued to make that cold stare at Cold Turkey.

Cold Turkey then demonstrates his knowledge to her regarding corporate law and even manages to calm down as he explains what he knows and understands much to Ms. Morsecode’s impressment and Judy’s shock.

“Do you know that much about suit corporate law?!” Says Judy.

“Yeah like I said. I studied all day and all night.” Cold Turkey explains.

Ms. Morsecode and Judy looked at Robert who was also surprised seeing how knowledgable Cold Turkey was in corporate law.

Ms. Morsecode then speaks to Cold Turkey. “Ok. I gotta hand to you, you’re a very educated aspiring lawyer.” Cold Turkey nodded as he listened.

“Well I can truly see you’re quite educated on the subject Cold Turkey.” Judy compliments Cold Turkey.

Cold Turkey smiled as he felt confident.

“But I will have ask you if you can handle the environment where Lawbot HQ is located?” Asks Judy who was curious to see if he can handle the cold.” Asks Judy.

Cold Turkey’s confidence on his face got wiped off as he looked at Top Dog nervously.

“My friend can handle the cold very well. He has also been practicing dealing with the cold temperature before he even came here.” Top Dog explains while Cold Turkey is sweating more than a geyser.

Ms. Morsecode had one eyebrow raised staring down at him unsure if she should trust the testimony from Top Dog.

Cold Turkey nervously looks back at Ms. Morsecode. “Yeah… I had trained to get used to the cold at Lawbot HQ… I will admit it wasn’t easy for me to handle… But I will ensure that I can take the cold there…”

“Ok. I can trust your word that you can handle the headquarters.” Ms Morsecode says still quite a bit suspicious of Cold Turkey experience with the cold.

“Alright… I will also assist your secretary if she needs any additional work needed around the headquarters.

“I can use the help.” Says Judy.

Ms. Morsecode and Robert exchange looks for half a minute before she looked back at Cold Turkey.

“Alright. I will allow you a position as an attorney in the Lawbots.” She then slowly went to shake Cold Turkey’s hand and did it slowly.

“I will not disappoint Ms. Morsecode. I promise.”

“You better not Mr. Marly, because like its said by us: ‘Flattery can only get you so far.’”

“Y-Yes ma’am.” Says Cold Turkey nervously, as he finished shaking Ms. Morsecode’s hand and then shakes Judy’s hand.

“It will be a pleasure working with you. Mr. Marly.” Says Judy.

Robert and Chris Dolair then face Alligator Dream who was looking quite eager to start her interview now.

“Good evening, Mr. Dolair…” She went to shake Chris’s hand which he does so.

“Good evening, Ms. Dream…” Says Chris as he shakes Alligator Dream’s hand.

Chris then asks Alligator Dream about her previous job experience in resistance. “So what was that section of the resistance you used to work with?”

“For me simply, It was a Loony Labs...”

Robert gasps as the other top executives look at her, especially Chris and Jewel.

“Yep, I was refered as Dr. Dream by the resistance, mainly did toony experiments and even supplied them to the members with of typical silly stuff you see those toons arm themselves with.”

“So you were like a supplier to them?” Asks Jewel.

“Yep. In fact that very piece of equipment that got me kicked out will be of extra help to Mr. Dolair here.” Says Alligator Dream as she reached for her suitcase while Chris watched.

She places the suitcase on the desk and opens it. Which Chris, Jewel and Robert get a good look at, inside was a small piece of technology.

“What is this?” Asks Robert perplexed at the piece of technology.

“That is an experimental jellybean to cashbuck converter.” Says Alligator Dream as she takes the device out of the suitcase.

“Jellybean to Cashbuck converter?!” Says Jewel with astonishment.

“Oh really? Then demonstrate it to me.” Says Chris Dolair.

Alligator Dream then got out a bunch of jellybeans as she turned on the device, she then placed them into an insert for the jellybeans and the device slowly started to do its work as it dispensed coins out the other end. The executives were shocked by this especially Chris.

“You’re for real?!” Says Chris.

“Yep its for real. Just to remind you, its only a prototype. I mainly working on a better improved version that will be used by the Cashbots.

“When will it be ready?” Asks Robert.

“Whenever I get the extra time to work on it. I will bet that Mr. Dolair will appreciate it when he gets his extra dollar to boat.” Alligator Dream remarks.

“Ok. But I’ll need you to actually do more than working on your machine for us. What kind of work you can do for me that wont require a lot of time?” Chris asks.

“Ah. I am glad you asked.” Alligator Dream says as she pulled out a calculator with a stack of dollar bills in her hand.

“Oh? You want to be an accountant?”

“Not just any accountant.” She says as she quickly started counting the bills twice within half a minute and quickly wrote down the total amount of bills she had in her hand and gave them to Dolair. “Here is 500 dollars worth of cogbucks. This isn’t a bribe just so you know. Just a demonstration.”

Chris Dolair was astonished as he looked at Jewel and Robert.

“So?” Says Jewel.

“Alright, Say no more!” Says Chris as he went to shake Alligator Dream’s hand. And she very eagerly took it.

Finally, There was Secretarist Horse, who was still looking down at the floor while Robert and Allan made eyes on her.

“So… Ms. Marylin?” Allan says as he stared at her.

“Y-Yes… M-Mr. Bravecog...” Says Secretarist Horse as she looked at Allan, who was watching her while unsure how to feel about her timidity while Janet simply stared.

“Do you have any good job experience or qualities from toontown that will help you in this job?” Allan asks as Secretarist Horse was nervously fondling with her thumbs.

“Um…” Secretarist Horse looked nervous as she looked at Top Dog.

“Oh yeah, she’s very friendly when I got to know her and she can get along with the other sellbots.” Says Top Dog who chimes in to help Secretarist Horse.

“Ok? But what other skills that she has that can be of help to me?” Asks Allan.

“Well…” Secretarist Horse nervously stared at Allan.

“I-I don’t have any special skills...”

Janet felt bad for her as she chimed in. “Oh don’t say that. Even if you don’t have any special skills I can bring you into a training program to become a decent sales suit!”

“Ok… I also met your son while I was on a trip and I became good friends with him-”

“What?! You know my son?” Allan says astonished to hear this.

“Y-Yeah?” Secretarist Horse says as she sat up in he seat.

“Well what do you know? I feel you got the job ma’am.” Says Allan.

“R-Really? E-even if i-i’m a toon?”

“Of course! Oil under the bridge! A friend of my son is a friend of the company!”

Craig looks unsurprised. “I mean...”

Chris and Ms. Morsecode watched this while they slowly looked at each other and shook their heads.

“Whatever you say Allan.” Says Chris.

“Just don’t come crying to us whenever anything happens with her.” Says Ms. Morsecode.

“Well. I guess thats that.” Robert says as he stood up from his seat.

Top Dog slowly stood up as well. “So are we-”

Robert took out his hand to shake it with Top Dog and he shakes hands with him.

“When do you all want to start?” Asks Robert.

“As soon as possible. I really don’t want to rush you all or anything. But we’ll need to make arrangements soon… I don’t want the other resistance members to catch on to what we’re doing.”

Rat Racer chimes in. “We can help you with those arrangements if y’all want.”

Cold Turkey comes in as well. “I-I can figure out a place to stay at Lawbot HQ if you want Ms. Morsecode?”

Alligator Dream looked at Chris. “Whatever gets me working on this bad boy more quicker than I will do it.”

And finally, Sercretarist Horse came up to Allan. “D-Does Cathal have a spare bed for me to s-sleep in?”

After speaking with the managers for a few more minutes it was decided that they will temporarily sleep within the Boardbot HQ.

The five new hires left Robert's office as a Head Honcho guided them to their temporary room to stay at until tomorrow.

“Goodnight Robert!” Says Top Dog

“Goodnight Top Dog. I will be expecting you tomorrow!” Says Robert.

The Head honcho showcased their room which had at least 5 beds for them to stay in.

“Here is your temporary stay.” Says the Head Honcho.

The five toons looked inside the slightly run down room with the beds. They all looked at each other before nodding at each other.

“Thank you sir.” Says Top Dog as he entered the room alongside the other Union pal members. They got into their sleep clothes and slowly went to sleep in their beds.

As Top Dog lay in his bed he quietly says: “Tomorrow begins a new day…”
